Wolves 1-2 Middlesboro
Blackpool 2-0 Birmingham

New lays for this weekend:

Blackpool (vs Birmingham) @ 3.8
Huddersfield (vs Leicester) @ 6.6
Bournemouth (vs Wycombe) @ 3.6
Middlesboro (vs Wolves) @ 3.15

Exposure: £40.66

Comments: Not a lot of value in the Leicester game, if I hadn't seen them play some great stuff away ay Yeovil earlier in the week I wouldn't be attracted by the price but I'm quite confident of a Leicester win. I think Wycombe are value against Bournemouth but it won't be a walkover. I think Blackpool will struggle towards the second half of the season and I think Birmingham will be too strong for them - this fixture was postponed and I previously put money on it before it was refunded. Laying Boro in the FA Cup is interesting, I just think Wolves will be equal to them on the day and it could be a good game, and that's reflected in the price.

Evaluating the performance of the lays so far, I've decided maybe more diversification is required to balance the books and for steady growth. Currently I feel a bit guilty about the miserly 68p Save the Children will get, it might pay for a tin of powdered milk (not of the Chinese variety) for a baby but that's really not very giving of me.

Setback. Doncaster beat Southampton away meaning the exposure is all lost, but thats the high risk system. Wolves drew with Bristol City away which redeems the weekend's lays. Unfortunately the overall performance of the fund has gone down but is still positive.

Results:

Southampton 0-2 Doncaster
Bristol City 2-2 Wolves

Aftertiming

This isn't technically aftertiming, as I previously placed this bet but it got cancelled because of weather, and even more so because I didn't put any money on this time round because I forgot. I'm just bragging that I would have got the correct result. I originally laid Histon vs Swansea @ 5.2 and tonight Swansea beat them.

I didn't put any money on this time around which is annoying but in principle it is worth noting.

I've identified some new lays for Saturday:

Bristol City (vs Wolves) @ 3.7
Doncaster (vs Southampton) @ 3.75

Exposure: £20.00

Comments: Wolves are a strong side despite being beaten last weekend I expect to see a response this weekend. Southampton seem to have some quality going forward and winning games despite being outplayed by better teams. I suspect playing Doncaster they can get a result.

MK Dons came back to draw 1-1, and then had a man sent off for a nervy last 20 minutes. As I'd laid Colchester, the bet won and it returned £2.02.
